"Little Folks" White House Tour

Hi Kids! Today President Harry Truman, who lived in Independence, Missouri, is going to take us on a trip to Washington D.C. We are going to visit a very special house. It is the White House where our President and his family live. Really, all of the United States citizens own this big house at 1600 Pennsylvania, but we share it with our presidents and their families. Can you guess why they call this house the White House? Of Course! Because it is WHITE! The White House is very big and is ALMOST 200 years old. Sometimes the rooms were changed when new families came to live in the White House. Maybe your family has changed some of the rooms in your house too!
There are lots and lots of rooms in the White House. We only have time to visit some of the most important ones.

Please Note: When you are ready to read about the room you are visiting, touch Harry T's glasses and you will be able to read something about the room. Click on "BACK" when you want to look at the whole room again.

OK! It is time to hop on Harry T.'s train.
Toot Harry T.'s train whistle
AND LET'S MOVE ON!
