Introduction to the "Little Folks" White House Tour

The majority of the pictures used in this project were taken of the White House in Miniature exhibit which was on display at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum for three months during the winter of 1996-97 and from the book based on the replica.

The exhibit was extremely popular and thousands of people gazed at the excellent craftsmanship of the miniature project that so authentically showed the interior and exterior of the White House. This was the last tour of the exhibit. It is now at a permanent site in Clermont, Florida (2 miles West of Orlando on Highway 27) in a private museum focusing on presidents. Other museum exhibits are: wax figures of 42 presidents, copies of gowns worn by First Ladies, and Jackie Kennedy's china.

The White House in Miniature was created by John and Jan Zweifel. Photos were by Gail Buckland and Kathleen Culbert-Aguilar from the book, The White House in Miniature.
